Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Is there ever a time where you should cut ties with someone who holds a position of authority?  

For example:  If a Pastor is the leader over the church, then should a member be able to disagree with them?  If so, how far does that go, and is there a time where one or the other should cut ties?
